Anlass und Ziel der Veranstaltung  |

| Im September 2007 endet nach der maximalen Förderdauer von neun Jahren das DFG-Graduiertenkolleg „Naturkatastrophen“.Das Symposium 2007 am 24. und 25. Juli ist die offizielle Abschlussveranstaltung. Es wird die Notwendigkeit der Interdisziplinarität für das Verständnis, die Vorsorge und die Bewältigung von Naturkatastrophen aufgezeigt. Hierzu werden Ergebnisse der 3. Förderphase des Kollegs vorgestellt. Zusätzlich präsentieren Referenten aus Forschung, Industrie, Behörden, Hilfsorganisationen und Vereinen Aufgaben, Erfahrungen und Werkzeuge ihrer täglichen Arbeit. | |
Reason and objective of the event  |

| In September 2007, after the maximum funding time of 9 years, the Research Training Group ends. That’s why a symposium (in German) is held on 24 and 25 July this year where the necessity of the interdisciplinary approach for understanding, precaution and management of natural disasters will be demonstrated. Therefore research results of the programs third funding period will be presented. Furthermore researchers and representatives of companies, authorities, relief organisations and associations will give challenges, experiences and tools of their natural disaster work. Each presenter contribute a paper to the symposium proceeding. |
